Croeso i Ysgol Gynradd Penygloddfa! Welcome to Penygloddfa C.P. School!

Penygloddfa is situated in the historic town of Newtown surrounded by the beautiful Mid-Wales countryside. We provide education for children aged 4-11 years. We are a large school and we have 11 classes. These are split into Foundation Phase and Key stage 2 classes, more information about our classes can be found at the bottom of the homepage.

Our aim as a school is to provide your children with a safe, happy and caring learning environment to ensure that they can reach their full potential.

Foundation Phase

Welcome to the Foundation Phase

 

Croeso I  Foundation Phase, also known as the infants. There are currently 5 classes in the foundation phase.  All our classes have their own Welsh name, the foundation phase are animals in welsh.

Dosbarth Draenog (Hedgehog) – Reception andYear 1

Dosbarth Llygoden (Mouse) – Year 1

Dosbarth Y Ddraig (Dragon) – Year 1  and 2

Key Stage Two

Croeso i Key Stage Two!  Welcome to Key Stage Two, or as the children know it, the Juniors.

There are currently 6 junior classes. There are three Year 3 and 4 classes and three Year 5 and 6 classes. All our classes have their own Welsh name,  Year 3&4 are trees in Welsh and Year 5&6 are elements of nature.
